~~~***~~~
Canada is my homeland
It's the place of my birth
I'm proud to be a part of
The richest land on Earth
There are mountains and forests
Rivers, lakes and streams
It's a sportsman's paradise
--A vacationer's dream
It's a nation of freedom
And opportunity
We're a patriotic people
And we love our great country
There are bountiful farmlands
And a fishing industry
Vast mineral resources
And advanced technology
There are all kinds of people
From all the world around
Now Canada is their homeland
Let's unite to keep it strong
Canada is my homeland
It's the place of my birth
I'm proud to be a part of
The richest land on Earth
It's great to be proud of your country,
There's only one thing that is sad,
It could be the best place on earth,
If you only had Toerag.
Seriously for only a minute, (that's the most I can offer in one year)...this is a beautiful tribute to your homeland, I admire anyone with that kind of patriotism.
Canada is my homeland
Of that I'm proud to brag
But it would be far richer
If we had a sweet Toerag
What a wonderful tribute to our homeland.  We DO have so much to offer not to mention that Americans get an extra 56 cents on every dollar they spend here .  This land is so rich in culture, scenery and what I love best is all the nationalities that live together in harmony (no guns here folks).
Earth Angel - thank you for a reminder how lucky I am to live here.
You'd think with my grandfather being Canadian I'd have been there. There is nothing nicer than to be proud of your homeland and to show it off.
One day I'll get up there and when I do, I'm going to hopefully visit you all.
Wonderful poem Sister.
And it's the homeland to many of my closest friends.  What a wonderful tribute
the morning star, still kiss the dawn
I'm lovin' this poem, it's a keeper for sure.
You should re-post this on Canada Day! God bless Canada and you for writing this
Linda, it's wonderful to know that you people are so proud of
your country. It sounds like a beautiful place...of the people
and the scenery. I have a good friend who lives there now
and she loves it. She married a Canadian. I've never been there,
but hope to visit them one day. I'm like Martie, I wish I
could meet all of you good people from here at PIP when I do
come to visit. Thank you for this poem from your heart,
sweet Linda. :squeeze
Yes, indeed! The American dollar is worth $1.56 here! Now that is an added incentive for our American friends to come on up here to visit--and to spend! hehe
Sharon, with  your fine talent and generosity of spirit i.e. helping the less fortunate, I'm proud to call you a fellow-Canadian!
P.S. Your website is absolutely divine and I recommend anyone reading this reply, to check it out!
