Winter's Bird

Red flash in the tree.
Cardinal lights on bare branch.
Seed nestled in beak.

(smiles) Yay! Oh Scorpio, I just love cardinals so much just as I love bluebirds and all other birds, sweet friend, I am blessed to have stellar jays and flickers and magpies all around at this time of year, this is wonderful, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Scorpio, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Very expertly done Scorpio!
You have managed to capture some fine imagery with this one.
So much enjoyed.. and the cardinal does look beautiful
in contrast to the white snow...

Thank you, Noah...You are very blessed to have such a variety of birds visiting you this winter..

Earth Angel...your kind words are very much appreciated..

Sy...I'm glad you enjoyed this haiku...it means a lot to have your support..

Thank you, Enchantress...I'm honoured that you feel this is worthy of your library...the bright red of the cardinal certainly stands out against the white of the snow...another of nature's  brilliant accents...

Pat...thank you...the picture really created itself...but I take credit for it...*S*

Thank you Janet Marie...your picture was a wonderful compliment to the haiku...it's very difficult to find a more beautiful creature than a cardinal in the winter...

Ethel...I'm glad you enjoyed this poem..I'm told cardinals in the south are very tame...eating seeds out of a person's hand...the ones here are very wary of people...
