To Taste Just Once

Majestic laughter, in my eyes,
Words that touch, so lightly,
Thunder crashes, in my soul,
Missing you...despite me.

Translucent dreams, of forevers kiss,
Washed away, through hidden tears,
Starlight bleeds, beyond my mind,
His perfection...my deepest fear.

The moon, it holds my heart intact,
As pieces, fall to dust,
Shattered softly, beyond my reach,
Too many miles, lie between us.

A sanctuary, of fairytales,
Of promises, never broken,
A shadow, lost inside regret,
Of tender words...that were not spoken.

Past and present, blurr my view,
As life, it seems to will me,
To dwell beyond, where I am,
To taste just once...security.

A heart can only truly break, once it learns to love completley.

Yes sometimes it is, but for me, sometimes its too easy to sink into security, regardless if it be, where I really long to venture in my heart........

Sometimes the softest moments, are the hardest on your heart.
