 (Here Comes Santa Claus) Here comes Balladeer Here comes Balladeer Writing all the way He's got a book that's filled with rhyme And he'll send you one today Bally knows that he is loved It makes him smile so bright So, listen close, he's getting near Yes, Balladeer's comin' tonight _______________ (I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas) I'm dreaming of a Balladeer I'd follow anywhere he'd go His eyes would glisten and to me he'd listen Not like that loud mouth guy named Toe I'm dreaming of a Balladeer With every poem that I write Here I sit waiting for him tonight Come on 'Deer...you know I'll treat you right. _______________ (It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year) He's the most talented poet named 'Deer Of his rhyming he's boasting While others are roasting The verses they hear He's the most talented poet named 'Deer _______________ (All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth) All I want for Christmas is my Balladeer My Balladeer, yes my Balladeer Gee, if I could only have my Balladeer Then I'd have all I want for Christmas It's been so long since he was mine I'd have to say he's really rather fickle Gosh, oh gee, why won't he come to me I'd give him a whole nickel Oooh... And I always thought you were a nice gal... being a friend of Marge's and all... that's kind of a free pass into my good graces. *G* But here you go and malign that sweet Toerag (without even a tidbit of justification or provocation *G*) and you want Balladeer??? I have to wonder if you've been nipping in the eggnog already? LOL Or did the sun out there addle the eggs? LOL Ah, well... there's no accounting for tastes. *G* And Marge??? I do my harmonizing VERY quietly... don't wanna hurt Toe's ears or have him run even faster! ROFL!!! All these "carols" are awfully hard on my office mates cause I couldn't sing BEFORE I was ill... now my voice cracks like a teenage boy's. *G* Now I'm off to see if I can cheer poor Toe... or make his holidays REALLY awful by volunteering to visit. *G* Enjoyed!!! *S* |

Yes, you described Toerag very well and thanks for the offer of a nickel but everyone here knows that I'm at least a two-bit poet! Please allow me to respond with a special song just for you. It's not Christmassy but, since you live there, it seems appropriate....to the tune of "By the Time I Get to Phoenix".. By the time I get to Phoenix You'll be risin' Horizon Painting sunstrands in your hair. You'll smile just to think I'll soon be calling Passion falling Everywhere. By the time I get to your street You'll be soaking Invoking Lilac water in your bath. You'll run the smooth soap bar across your body Slightly naughty As you laugh. By the time I reach your doorstep You'll be dressing Silk carressing Shapely figure everywhere. You'll think of how my eyes will look and treasure All the pleasure Waiting there. By the time we're face to face there I'll be muddled Befuddled By the sight that I see there. Alzheimer's makes my reason there forgotten Oh, how rotten! Hey! Nice underwear!!!  |
