I sit among you
a stranger surrounded by friends
As I am sitting here I feel the devil within
my own personal demon

Who will not leave my soul alone
temptation after temptation
I question myself is this my own tribulation

I know what is right
but I go for what is wrong
my affliction is for the flesh

My desire burns deep inside
causing me to be easily misguided
I do not understand why

I know I will be tested
EVERYDAY
until the day I die

I will hear the soft warm whispers
and flirting glances
suggesting romance

My hunger will be teased by an affair of lust
Breaking all trust
So I beg
PLEASE!

Help me ease this craving for the body
I do not want to be bested in this test
and fall like the rest for a simple taste
of the flesh
