I sat on the stair
beside the hill
where once we went
on a day so still

I sat head bowed
as the wind did howl
and the rain flowed
In weather so foul

The shadow lay upon me
of my past so near
and memories bitter sweet
that pulled me here

My tears lost in the rain
and howls lost in the wind
loneliness's whispering
reminds me of how i sinned

So i sat and wept
giving myself to the rain
I am again so alone
my love left only my pain

Take a good look at my face
Well, don't my smile look out of place
look a little closer its easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

My tears lost in the rain
