The sunset has faded once more, Gone are its radiant hues That warmed the end of my day. The darkness of night envelopes me. The air is still, the quietness of evening deafening. I sit and ponder the past and question the future. Memories…. thoughts, flooding my mind. Just like a pond when a stone is cast upon it, So are the rippling effects borne by my heart and soul. The innocence of a child’s daydreams Now are transformed into a woman’s world of reality. For so long I guarded my thoughts and feelings Keeping them locked behind closed doors, Allowing no one in. You entered my world and became part of it. I learned to trust someone as would a child, And in doing so… I gave you the mystical key That unlocked the private depths of my soul… Secured in a vault for so long. Fantasies became reality, Untapped passions unbridled. A tenderness and gentleness I’d never known You warmed and comforted me…. Made me believe once again Finally I knew what it meant to be a woman. With the dawn and twilight of each new day I am reminded of the warmth, The unique closeness we share. The stars of evening, sparkling like jewels, Represent the memories I cherish. The friendship and unique intimacy remains, its future undaunted. Love remains.... Moments we cherish……. Poetry is: |

Cher, ==================== I sit and ponder the past and question the future. ==================== What an excellent investment of time. Because all that follows is so wonderful. Bless you dear lady and thank you for sharing your rippling thoughts. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Cher, I read your words silently then went back and whispered them. They were not only comforting to me, but I was filled with joy for you. You speak as a woman who has found true love... ~ May your love continue to blossom and grow, dear friend! Linda |

I suppose the pain and agony of love lost..then lonely nights where hope is lost and then rebirth of love has enabled me to value love and cherish it and write about all the aspects. I am only newly in love once again in the last few months. Thanks for commenting on this. I had doubts that I was rambling my own thoughts. aloha and hugs to you all, Cher Poetry is: |

Cheryl, I do believe that you've found a true, lasting love. You wrote so many thoughts similar to the way I feel about my Love. Doesn't it feel good, dear friend? "Love makes the world go around" |
