Reveries

Working through the unshed tears of my life,
Shrugged off at the time.
Now searching for a break in the clouds,
Still not crying.
However, the grief, pain, and suffering surfaces
As a lump in the throat,
Pressure behind the eyes,
And a weary spirit.

Grateful for the chance to live.
Albeit, differently.
Making changes to improve life.
Confronting myself.
Silently admitting in my thoughts
What no one wants to hear.
Acknowledging what I cannot change.
Changing what I can…

And the smile starts and spreads.
The spirit lifts
And life begins again.

I do believe I get it!  Wish my reveries were as profitable.

Beautiful and what a terrific uplifting closing!
So very much enjoyed!

Ah, Bridget, these are beautiful words and thoughts. We all have the unshed tears (not to mention plenty of shed ones). To be able to turn the corner, pick up the pieces and begin again is the measure of true success.

This is excellent, miss

Shenachie,
You knew I'd love this. So glad I found it. This is awesome. Such courage. Bless you and peace to you as well.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
