Every time u drink a beer my whole body fills with fear Whole my world collapses in one sec when u say "What the heck!" "What's the harm of one single drink? Don't dare to throw this one in the sink!" U think u can be strong but u are totaly wrong Cause when alcohol absorbs ur brain the only thing u achieve is pain Once again then it's me, the 'should-be-grown-up' telling u, my father, to just shut up This one starting drink that u did touch brewed a waterfall of feelings inside me, so much I relly can't keep dealing with ur egoïsm How the hell should i build a life of my own while u chose for alcolism? So please now, do this huge favor for me Teach urself to be the person u always wanted me to be I know it won't be an easy ride, more like a rollercoast But i really need to live my life without the fear for ur alcolism ghost... The greatest thing u'll ever learn |

A heartfelt beautiful piece just remeber that the hardest thing in the world to conquer is oneself and when that's achieve there is nothing we can't do ... You have to be strong for someone you care for so though as they can not do it with out your support . Absolutly wonderful poem, i just hope you can sort it out . I can feel your pain zenny...and I am truely sorry. I am equally as sorry for your dad....because I am sure he wishes as mush as you that he could quit. Maybe some day very soon he will find that strenght. Keep writing it cleanses your spirit. ~Salty In the Midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you. |

You know, this is a very wonderful poem... and I deal with an alcoholic every day also. But may I make a suggestion..it would be even nicer if you spelled out the words you and your...especially for such a serious subject. Thank you for sharing your feelings. hugssss M |

I sugggest you seek a local chapter of ALANON.They are a surport group for people who have to live with alcholics. paladin |
