Destination Reality It doesn’t take the hated tone of the alarm clock to stab my comfort in the morning, Rarely does the outside world kick me from peace to turmoil. I hardly need the ignorant birds to sing me to woken frustration, The clock of my discontent rings louder and more shockingly than any of them do. From the oblivious bliss of a dreamt distraction quickly strikes the claw of reality, Piercing my entirety, puncturing my carefree breath with no remorse. Then the shawl of fear and dissatisfaction swamps my thoughts like a wave of darkness, Washing away the innocence of the child in me and injecting my mind with regret. Only hope will mask this deep seated pain, only belief offers a better beginning to come. So I’ll rise from my tempting safety, head first into where only my heart can save me. Every morning I have a similar experience with my alarm clock. Sometimes it wakes me so rapidly that I have momentary dellusions. Reality is a scary thing at 6:00 A.M. |

Everyday when I awake I am in a daze for hours reality is just too much to deal with so dream land looks so inviting untill my brain logs on to the world I enjoyed this much |
