Thank You, Moderators

My eyes have seen the spiral daze
Within a moderator’s maze
The time consumed behind the mask
In dedication to a task

But how the hallways twist and turn
As midnight’s candle slowly burns
Until the final verse is read
And spinning phrases put to bed

The love of thought put into words
That til this moment were unheard
The lyric quality of song
The open hearts of weak and strong

Have lured this one to volunteer
As guardian angel, overseer
To place upon the scale of trust
Where intuition is the just

To draw delineated space
Into a strange aesthetic place
To praise the worthy, lift the new
Into the skies of heaven’s blue

Inspiring mind to higher height
Encouraging the pen to write
And pulling tight each stitch of twine
Into the weaves that hold and bind

A family of poetry,
The muses’ treasured words set free
Into the eyes of those who give
Their time, that poetry may live

You know one of the nicest things about being a Moderator, Liz?  One leans in a little farther, and lives a little longer, in the world of poetry...

ah, a reader's life.  Well, someone's got to do it!

Elizabeth, I have a lot of respect for all of you moderators.....
the ones who do it all the time and the ones who volunteer occassionally.
I'm thinking very seriously about volunteering, because
I know that it's got to be a very time consuming job and
takes everyone working together. I know that
all of you moderators
love poetry and also love this wonderful place that
all of us here call our "home on pages of blue".
I also really appreciate Ron for allowing us to be a part of
this "family of friends" here at PIP.

THANKS   TO  YOU  ALL

You're welcome, Elizabeth! Thank you for all your beautiful poetry to read and for this lovely Thank You Note!

When do you think you might be able to come to the city? Let me know. I'll plan to take a day off and we can do whatever! I also found a place behind the Art Museum off of Kelly Drive where we can park for free!

Love ya,
Denise

The forums don't run smoothly by themselves. Without Ron at the helm and all the moderators, it would be self destructive. You can't help but appreciate the efforts of our modeators, who are dedicated to friendships, to poetry, and most of whom are all in themselves polished poets. From Nan, Balladeer, Marti, Denise, Sunshine, and all of those who were here when I came on board, I learned so much about writing. The moderators on the teen forum are influencing poets from an early age to keep writing and their talents amaze me. THank you again, moderators for caring enough to keep us writing throu good times and bad. You light the world of poetry for many.
A huge moderator embrace

I would need to have my daughter drive me.
My schedule is heavy til Christmas, but I'll see what I can do
Great idea!!!!
