Sweetie At some point in time he's going to want his life back because she's much too needy. That's what I found myself thinking when my friend was telling me stories about her and her boyfriend. She said he had to call her every morning and sometimes they would talk for hours. He had to kiss her about one hundred times a day. Seems to me they would need to take a shower. She said he bought her tons of flowers and I never did that. And he always called her Sweetie. No way I could possibly top that. When she goes to his house he treats her like a queen. He feeds her and pampers her she doesn't have to do a thing. He sure knows how to treat a woman Sweetie stated as a matter of fact. I told her in about six months he was probably going to want his life back. JamesLee December01 2002 |

Now, James, women do like to be pampered. And, maybe he enjoys pampering her. "Love makes the world go around" |

That would drive me absolutely nuts. Sappy, sloppy love is too suffocating! My vote goes to private tenderness. |

ROFL! I understand there's some intended ache here, but the whole idea and telling cracked me up... so many times we and others we know have sunk into the newness of a relationship... i guess it's the ones who don't come back up for air that are turned into legend. cool poem, i liked what it said and how you said it - conversational, yet poignant at the same time. |

Thank you garysgirl, amusemi, Christoper and This Diamond... Yes in a way it seems so absurd to an observer and yet it is so real and so beautiful to the participants... However the real test usually comes in about six months...when emotions move back into the normal positions...James |
