Disease By: Noah Eaton 10/16/02 Everyday I wander through your candy store Seeing your pretty face behind the counter You treat me right and filled my boyish delight Not it all seems to taste so sour Today I visited your candy store And you boarded up all my windows and the door You made one last gance then I saw my world in tritantopia Feeling like I don't belong to you anymore If I'm going to be ill at least let it be the mumps and measles But I'm struck by this malaria of confusion and troubles I don't want to let you go, sweetie Your love that used to shine here Has now vanished and turned into a cancer My veins are in hemorrhage and are going purple How am I supposed to fight this smallpox? All the chocolate in the world can't save me My heart is being shredded by these diabetes I'm cursed by this disease... All I want is to be faithful to you. see your sweet smile Now everything seems so tragic It feels like you're giving yourself away And the love you had for me is so nostalgic I've tried all of these vaccines But none can cure this grief I don't want to let you go, sweetie Your love that used to shine here Has now vanished and turned into a cancer My veins are in hemorrhage and are going purple How am I supposed to fight this smallpox? All the chocolate in the world can't save me My heart is being shredded by these diabetes I'm cursed by this disease And everyday before you said you loved me I love you beyond your wildest imagining Please don't deny what my heart cries I need your heart close to my side To God I pray our love can go on and last That this dilemma will move on and pass And I'll conquer this disease... Almost every day I wish I was bedridden I stare at your pictures every minute Your green eyes are the ones I want to gaze into lovingly I don't want you to leave... Your love that used to shine here Has now vanished and turned into a cancer My veins are in hemorrhage and are going purple How am I supposed to fight this smallpox? All the chocolate in the world can't save me My heart is being shredded by these diabetes I'm cursed by this disease And everyday before you said you loved me I love you beyond your wildest imagining Please don't deny what my heart cries I need your heart close to my side To God I pray our love can go on and last That this dilemma will move on and pass And I'll conquer this disease... My plagued heart is bleeding My plagued heart is bleeding My plagued heart is bleeding My plagued heart is bleeding... "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." Even through my sadness, for your apparent sadness, I can still appreciate the brilliance of your writing---the analogies, the metaphors....the list goes on! ~ Sending you extra BIG HUGS this morning! ~ Linda |

Oh Noah, I am feeling sick for you and your sadness overwhelms me. Where is that beautiful smile? I hope it returns soon and this awful disease disappears. Hugs, Marti |

Noah...I feel your pain so deeply expressed here...nothing hurts or inspires quite like a heart in anguish... I wish I could take you out for a beer to help ease your pain.. ...believe what your heart feels... |

As the saying goes, "Love can conquer anything". I hope this proves to be true! Hugs ~Sheri "Don't wait for your ship to come in ... Swim out to it" [This message has been edited by Irie (10-16-2002 12:02 PM).] |

Oh Noah, I hope that you aren't hurting and that your poem is just a peom, but so many of your work is sad poetry about love. Vacines may not help, but hugs and kisses can and I sent them to you (Hugs and kisses) ~Wind~ |

Noah, this is SOOOOOO heartbreaking. You are such a good poet and can express yourself so well that I can tell when you're smiling.......or when you're crying. From this poem, in my mind's eye I see you crying. And it hurts me just like it does all of your "family of friends". Dear sweet Noah, cheer up, dear friend.....we need your sweet smiles back. Things with Joanna have just GOT to get better. Good luck, sweet Noah. With Love To All, Ethel P.S. Notice that I'm using your favorite color!!!! Noah, What an excellent write. Peace and courage to you. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Such an incredibly emotive piece Noah ... you've captured a pain and expressed the depth through words, in a way that all can understand and feel. Heart hugs to you for this tender piece. Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |

excellent analogies of being denied something heretofore wonderfully sweet I too hope it's just a poem, and not your current reality Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

*cries* OMG, Noah, thanks so much for posting this... I'm feeling exactly like that right now. I hope that things start to look up for you soon; no one deserves to feel like this. |

Dear Sweet Noah, If this is a recent account of a present state of mind to you I say: On bended knee I sit by your side I tell you that your pain will leave knowing that your heart refuses to let go. We all understand this rejection. There is no one who has not been there in the place where you retreat. You, Noah, so giving and open will find yourself again. For the moment let your pain be rolled up into a little ball and tossed into the mighty ocean. Let your friends comfort you so as you have been a comfort to them. But, most of all know that you are loved by many and will find what you are looking for. SG |
