 Happy Birthday, Yvonne... Today’s your birthday, and you think I’ve forgotten But here are our chairs, let’s get to rockin’! I’ve got your shawl, our purple beginnings Let’s reminisce, some tales we’ll be spinning… The lighting is low, but your wrinkles don’t show… For you still carry that waiflike glow… Your hands are still nimble, and you’re like me… Our joints are still good, for that we are pleased! And age sits upon us like a fine veil Happy Birthday, my friend, I wish you well! |
