With all injuries, the element of time is the deciding factor of recovery. Believe the healing you want and need, so badly, will come at last. One day soon, a final teardrop, though perhaps, the heaviest, will splash away remnants of your grief. Be assured, your spirit will awaken with the promise of happiness in your heart. At first, fleeting, feelings of strength, like patches of billowing clouds, will well up from the very center of you, overshadowing your deepest fear, restoring an awareness of who you are, and, of what you have always been. A subtle sense of renewal will firmly replace depression as newfound hope inhibits doubts about yourself and dismal days dissolve into nothingness. You'll shake your head in wonder at the devastation you've encountered, and as bitterness subsides, finally be able to set aside that tormenting, hounding question: ~WHY~ Though wisps of caution will prevail, you will salvage vulnerability, for to you, always, respect and care require 'trust', having painfully learned not only in others, but, in yourself, as well. You'll discover contempt and envy might be able to touch, maul and bruise the very depth of you, but, can never destroy the goodness of you, your sense of right, or, the faith you have in yourself and God. You'll come to understand ~no one~ could have prevented the kind of thing that happened to you. You'll soon see it didn't occur because ~you~ lacked in anything, but, because ~you are so much~ You can start relaxing and feeling free now, for it won't be much longer until you'll graciously hold your head up high, standing proud and feeling humble because of ~all you are~ and, all you've just come through . ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. This should definetely be read more than a few times. I loved this. I just kept nodding my head through it. Its like a horoscope for someone except done with more passion and inspiration than the usual. This is powerful. Did I say that yet? Powerful. |

Neveah, So glad you really liked this. I too, shall use it many times. Ethel, Thank you for reading and finding it beautiful, and the truths in it. How wonderful you put it in your library. She, I liked what you said about the horoscope and thought about it and you are right. It is a hope filled piece for me, and I re-read it, too.... Linda, You saved it, how nice and generous you were in your reply. Thank you. Warm hugs to you, too.. and smiles... ThisDiamond, Yes, I'd say we have. For you, one of my favorite writers here to respond so positively means more than you know. Thank you. Martie, I am pleased you found something in it that touched you. Thanks and hugs. Salty, Yes, of course there was knowledge and negative, then positive feelings for me to write this. I, too re-read for centering...I am so glad you are real once again. Depression of any kind can be so difficult, and seemingly endless. Thank you for your comments. Dixie....Good. smiling here. Thanks. Seymour, Thanks for the well done and I am glad you enjoyed the read. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to read and reply. I appreciate it greatly. Hugs and warm regards, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

OhPat~ 'One day soon, a final teardrop, though perhaps, the heaviest, will splash away remnants of your grief. Be assured, your spirit will awaken with the promise of happiness in your heart.' I know the anticipation of that 'final teardrop'~ You couldn't have known way back then ... but this is as fresh for me as if it were written today~ You are such a loving spiritual person ... thank you for sharing of that love with me~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

Marge, I don't understand. You talk to Pat as though she can read this when you know that she is no longer here. It just seems an odd thing to do. Unless....? |

Sharon~ I don't find it 'odd' at all ...~ The poems are archived so that we members can come in and leave comments on them. The fact that someone might 'no longer be here' has no bearing on the fact that I can leave a reply, does it ? My goodness ... the lady may not be able to POST here ... but I think it's okay to read hers, or anyone else's, archived poetry and leave a sincere comment on the post (it's not a locked thread or anything) ... I can then send her my comments by email if I wish, can't I ? It's really not that hard to 'understand', now is it ? ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

Golly, Marge, what I don't understand is why someone would reprimand you for answering a poem that was written a year ago, and is now buried in the archives.... do you suppose it's jealousy? Maybe a bit of Schadenfreude? Could it be the simple pleasure of dancing on a grave? Seems to me that saying something ugly to somebody who is merely posting a remembrance to a friend, is at just about the level of repainting the spite-fence in even uglier colors, after the neighbor you disliked has moved away..... Shame on you, de Vine. You're a good person and a fine poet, and those remarks were beneath you. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

quote: Sorry, but I disagree with you. I never intended it as a reprimand. To reply as though this member was posting everyday could make other members reply in kind. And if no acknowledgement of the reply is given, that member may feel slighted. Perhaps it would have been better to just say. "Pat, I know you don't post here(or in the case of the others that Marge replied to) or as often as you used to, but I wanted a chance to bump this up so our newer members could read your work! I'm not trying to put words in Marge's mouth. I find no pleasure in 'dancing on a grave' (I'm offended that you even think that!) nor am I jealous. I am never jealous of someone's talent or someone's strong friendship. I didn't think what I said was ugly (I apologize if it was taken as such). Ratleader, you're a good person and a fine poet, and those remarks were beneath you. |

Last line first: Condescension is all too common among this group's moderating staff, and I assure you it is not something you can use to push me off a thread, or to influence me toward anything but anger. Now the rest -- I am as aware as you are of the emotional atmosphere surrounding this writer’s departure from the group, though I didn’t (and don’t) participate in the hullabaloo that surrounded it. Don’t pretend you are not aware of the tone of your response – you came off almost like an apparatchik warning an underling that they have been “noticed by the central committee”. If you had anything at all to say, it should have been said in a side mail. Here it shows up as nothing if not mean-spirited. No, I don’t think any of those things of you, but I wanted to be sure that you did realize what you sounded like, and the emotional content that still surrounds these issues for some of our members. Given that atmosphere, your comment was way over the line. As I said before, I don’t participate in the hullabaloo (or any other hullabaloo if I can avoid it), but I also don’t stand by while people who should know better make what sound like veiled threats to a friend. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
