I heard the tales she sleeps all day, eyelids flitter with the rain; Memories, her lullabies insane. Her vision circles with the light, blinks in elementary sight of days that swallow teardrops from her eyes. Rumours turn her symptoms worse as mind and body reap the curse; lethargy her daily-failing nurse. Acronyms and allergies, jabs she can’t recall, sympathies to nothingness and insult start to fall - Alison sleeps. And now the rain is gone. |
