Might the Whispers?

Could the whispers of the dampened leaves,
that have fallen from the slumb’ring trees,
coat the morning of these advent hours
with spice and scent of autumn’s flowers?

Might the solid gray of low-clung clouds
be a blessing, more than weather’s shroud;
might it be a mist of moistened coat
to freshen lamb and new-weaned shoat?

Might the quietness that wraps this day
be a peaceful song in mimed array;
it surely is my hope so true
that advent’s love encircles you.

(smiles) Oh Virginia, I love this, I too am deeply touched by the "Advent Mountain" and the story of Elijah and his epiphany, as I believe to all stand upon that high mountain is truly a blessing!
