To my friends at Piptalk, a Happy Holiday Season

Am I supposed to say season's greetings
to get this read?
would rather say Happy Hannukah instead
Festival of lights begins...
miracles, do they ever end?...
Menorah of new candles
after temple was gutted
a token amount of oil stayed
people wanted to believe
what about today, holy spirit,
why is there this destruction?
game of conquerer and oppressed
to find reasons to celebrate?
as mortals who look to usurp
we continually absolve ourselves
guilt wavers o'er the unsuspecting
of any wrong doing...such is this life
oh holy spirit...my candelabra always glows
festival of joy begins and ends each year
my spirit lights itself once again...
I'll continue believing in a miracle.

Happy Hannukah Martin! One for each night, they shed a sweet light, to remind us of days long ago.
Remember the past, but live in the present to guarantee the future.

Hey!
With so much happening in the world beyond all control, I find myself amazed that snow has the effect it does, that holidays still come and that people find the spirit to rise above it all.  Thank you Martin for sharing this gift. Happy Hannukah. ThisDiamond

There are miracles all around us. We just have to look to see them. Never stop believing in them.

Happy Hannukah ... may your days be filled with Light.

Hugs, Marti

(big hugggsssssss) Happy Hannukah, sweet friend, miracles are always around us, all we have to do is believe they can occur and we must let nature take its course as they will come to glow upon us! (smiles) This is beautiful, sweet friend, happy holidays, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
