I remember, The smell of burning wood that clung to the air in that bold December way And the dance of snowflakes encircling our embrace The first snow of the season as if the sky shed it in celebration of us I remember you though many days and loves lie between us now Our love may not have lasted But the memory of you, will never fade Michelle, Our first kiss the day I learned to love ( I just wanted to apologize for my posts of late. A little grim and self-serving but that storm has passed. Writing for the first time in years I've finally found a valve for thoughts. I want to thank everyone in this forum for responding, supporting and most of all sharing your work. I've learned so much in a little time. This is a tribute to the girl who taught me life's sweetest lesson. I hope to learn it again one day and wish you all find it. This is really beautiful. I also remember my first kiss. BTW, I don't think you're being mushy at all, just truthful, with lots of feelings and emotions. All the makings of good poetry to me.
