That's it?  I'm to eat
        my own heart out?

      ~No chance~?

You take no time to talk.

That's it.  You quit!
   That's your fix,
you're going to walk?

What then,
    would you think I am
  missing?

For, if I want shallow,
    I'll go
to the other end of the pool.

Where it is not quite
            green,
   and, it is not quite
            blue.

Oh, now I SEE with eyes
   the same hue,
it's designed to float
   the fear in you.

Maybe that's true,
   but, it simply won't do.

  The major difference
  between we two?
Several  points  of  I.Q.

  For, I remain:

    ~stupid-in-love~
      with you!

Pat

I know that love is not always easy and sometimes downright hard, but the humor in your voice here, made the chaos deep, ripple to unclear.  Happy Thanksgiving.  Thank you for being such a supportive friend!

Marti, Thanks for replying. I understand about the humor in this.
You are right in that it is light-hearted in part, because she knows she will win him over. Because she understands the fear for/in him...Just because he said it is over, doesn't mean it is when fear is involved..it is not like there is another woman, or fatal disease, or..? he is afraid of commitment???? She has an expectation perhaps based on her own love for him and confidence in the love they have and knows how deep he really is??

And, I think at this point of the game she wouldn't admit to being hopelessly in love with him...(unless she was stupid, a word I rarely use) smiling. maybe love him, but, not in love with him....she is simply smitten with love and she is not giving up that easily...

I rarely write about myself, or current events, but...sometimes I do...please don't be concerned. Thanks for responding. I hold you in my heart and prayers and hope things are going ok for you...

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

Noah, Please don't take this to heart.
Thanks for the blessing. Happy holidays. Am still trying different ways of writing poetry... feedback helps lots....like Marty's....I can think of how she saw it....

ThisDiamond, thanks for responding.
Warm regards, Pat

Pat, I know that you rarely write about yourself, so I wasn't too concerned about you when I read your poem.

I really liked your different form that you used. I thought it was very good.

Thank you for sharing your poetry with us.
I hope that you have a very happy Thanksgiving.
