Why do you leave me then forget me?
Am I just a glow, a gentle being
Is there meaning in me that matters
Look at me, you'll see reality

If you sit near me do you really care?
Am I simply someone you pity
Is there freedom in words I express
Look at me, I am real

Do I need to question my existence?
Am I just a poet running out of ink
Is there hope in me to keep living
Look at me, I am me, and I am scared

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

[[  Am I just a poet running out of ink  ]]

This line stands out in my mind ..... I liked the poem but I loved this one wonderful line.

... and they sent him home happy ... one hundred percent.

A very poignant write that leaves the reader aching inside.  Very well written Daniel.

You conveyed the pain which humans feel when being ignored very well.
Thanks for sharing.
God bless!
