AMONG THE NIGHT SIGHS

she stands,
shiver flesh
in short-versed windmoans
of the cold song

marble eyes open wide
swallowing weave-glow
of moon strands
through pine wire

winter hands
stroke the white fire
spooling into her hollow,
birthing need
on wetted thighs

“now I lay me…”
kindling
atop autumn’s crackle;
lipsmoothing creased blacksilk,
low limbs fashion
vine-clings for the slow dance

she stole the hush from crying
she stole the night from dying

and in her arms
gathered his chilling,
she held him close
among the night sighs;

humming the warm song
not quite sure of the words

very nicely written... strong imagery that adds to the overall effect of the words themselves as they flow down the page and into the reader..
