Winter Days Are Here Again
~ By Sue ~

I woke up looking for the sun
It was shinning bright yesterday
I looked for it everywhere
But it did not come back today

I looked outside the window here
At all the trees outside my house
There were no birds that I could see
They must have all gone south

The sky was looking dark today
You could feel the cold winter chill
The winter days are here again
The coldness I can feel

There are no chipmunks on the ground
I do not see them anywhere
And when I look up in the trees
Neither do I see them there

When the spring comes back once again
And the birds do all come back home
No longer will I be right here
To hear them sing their song

Sue, you might not be right where  you are now when the birds come back next spring, but I am sure you will still be able to hear singing birds wherever you will be.

This is a very descriptive poem! Brrrrr!
