The Night I Rode Them All

I was sleeping in the front seat,
While Chris, my buddy, drove.
Heading for Wyoming,
The news forecasting snow.

My mind was in another world,
And I was riding high-
Set to win the Championship,
At the Big Show in the Sky.

I'd mark them out, my scores were high
As our rig rolled along.
The season drawing to a close,
And I was showing strong.

I had ten head, and them the best-
I dreamed along enthralled...
When Chris said, "It's your turn to drive-"
I'd finally rode them all.

I guess that's where the money is...
In a cowboy's dreams.
I never seem to have enough,
In these blue denim jeans.

So as I drive, my buddy dreams-
My part in life seems small,
Since my taste of glory,
The night I rode them all.

(smiles) Oh John, I always enjoy your views and sentiments of the wild west, sweet friend, I too love horses so much, I just am bad at riding them! LOL! This is beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet John, thank you for sharing!

John, I love these cowboy stories of yours.
Are they about you and are you really a cowboy??
