head hanging, a sullen look on my face begging time, my pain I yearn to erase lost in thought, to lost to live head resting in hand, nothing left to give eyes closed, shut to the world another tear, my life unfurled frustration tearing me from within I cannot hear above the din life, drowning out my mind solace, peace I'm begging to find I wish to scream, to raise my voice but again I seem to sink, perhaps I have no choice |

Thanks for sharing! God bless! Here is another way we might look at unfortunate circumstances. Invictus Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. — William Ernest Henley (1849-1903) [This message has been edited by Radrook (11-25-2002 02:57 AM).] |
