I thought of you
today
and questioned if,
in a kinder, gentler world
it might have been
a fairytale
a boy, a girl
youth, innocence
and the wonder of it all

I held time in my hands

but now,
when leaves fall
I no longer try
to put them back
on the tree
I understand
the season, the reason
and
when stars fall
I no longer try
to catch them
for they
have somewhere
they must be

you once said to me,
"perhaps in the next life"
at that moment
I felt leaves falling
around me,
the reason
and
I knew then
there is somewhere
I must be
far beyond an endless
dance apart

a different world perhaps
a different season
but touching all that is real,
dancing to a song
of our choosing--
because,
I have tried
and I cannot hear the song
without you

(big hugggsssssss) Yes, and that place you must be is all inside of you, and if love can listen to your heart that makes the joy ever more omnipresent! (sigh) May nothing but a smile always fill your heart, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sandpiper,

I really love this and it I will keep.
It is heartfelt, beautiful. It's special.

I especially like:

"When leaves fall I no longer try to put them back on the tree."

and....

"I cannot hear the song without you."

Thank you so much.

Warm Regards, Pat

I came, I read...I left a little quieter in my walk.

Enjoyed my friend.

How beautiful, even in it's sadness. Some lesons of life are hard to learn.
