As Scene In Snow The hush of snow to my delight Seems portrait pure in visions bright As innocence returns to thrive Upon the earth in soft contrive Laments of frosting whipped to dust Scenes still to softly sleep and must Become the cast in winter white The hush of snow to my delight Forever cycles to the ground Of crystal gems on starlight crowned As innocence in stillness gleams Upon the earth in sparkling sheens And in the air the smell of calm To fall so free and settle on Before the fire in crackling melt The hush of snow can still be felt All this as seen from where we are Before us falls such peace by far Seems picture perfect all about To lay in wait the night white out Copyright Kkh 11/24/02 |
