Son's twenty-three. Daughters are now teens. Paternal grandfather they haven't seen. He shows little interest if at all. Rarely manages to call. Says he's too ill. But he wasn't always. So he doesn't mention those days. Claims he can't go see them at the airport at the least for a few seconds. I guess curiosity doesn't beckon. Neither does blood call very strong.  (big hugggsssssss) Oh Radrook, it is such a difficult situation to bear, and I knowit well too, as I know the whole "that's a guy thing or that's a girl thing" which to me is stereotypical and can get in the way so much too! (sigh) I pray we all can celebrate our unique qualities and just love with being there for one another, God Bless You, we all love you so much! I relate all too well to this, when families don't stay in touch. Time has a way of slipping by, and you can never go back and recoup all those lost potential moments. |
