That was no creature
from outer space.
Man, get a grip!
That there was your face!
That was no saucer.
That was a just a balloon.
That picture's fake man!
Can't you tell that's a spoon?

That was no alien.
That was  a bear.
That was no ray
blasted you out of your chair!
That was no gray,
man, that was your mom.

You better lay off that alcohol Tom!

Radrook, as I said yesterday in another, I enjoy the selection and variety of themes, you present to us with your poetry.

Many would not agree with you on this one. Tom may have been drinking, but some would bet large sums of money ~it happened~...

Me?  Much we don't know, but I'd bet on the weather balloon, too....

Art Bell might have the answer....smiling here, for I take the whole thing lightly and am amused with this piece...

Thanking you for a smile...
Warm regards, Pat

Hi Sci Fi Fans!
Thanks for the feedback!

Response:
Glad you enjoyed the poem.
Isn't it weird the explanations which they come up with? For example, one person was told he was being chased down the highway by the planet Venus! You figure that one out--I can't! LOL

Response:
Well, so say some! [sibilance unintended]
I personally came within thirty feet or so of a saucer while residing in Miami. Me, not the saucer, of course. I meet with skepticism whenever I tell the story. Well, at least I wasn't burnt by the lights it shone on me as some unfortunate persons have. Glad you enjoyed!

Response:

Thanks for your encouraging words my friend--both today's and yesterday's. They certainly are very much appreciated.

Glad you enjoy the poems. Variety is the spice of life as they say.

About UFOs I saw one myself so I am in the minority who really think there is more to these things than meets the eye.

As you know, alternate explanations are abundant.
They range from hallucinations due to drugs or fatigue or illness to natural phenomenon such as geological disturbances deep in the earth's crust prior to earthquakes which are said to possibly cause gemlike rocks to undulate under tectonic pressure and transmit light as a consequence into the atmosphere.

But I do not remember any earthquake in Miami when I saw what I saw. So, yes, the poem expresses only the opinion of the speaker, who, in this case is not me. Thanks for feedback.

God bless you all!

I too have encountered one...and therefore believe.
