They say there lives a man,
deep within the forest, near a crystal fall.
Standing tall amongst the Redwoods.
Quiet, peaceful.....blessed,   yet.....
Somber...

Books lining shelf after shelf, hardbacks
of many learned authors....A wide range of
subjects...  A wise and knowing man...
Hurting...

The tick of a father’s clock,   droning in the
silence of what would be called and
considered to be....God’s Country...
Alone....

He stands before an open window,
absorbing all of the beauty before him.
Gentle flakes falling through the branches
spiraling toward the earth below...
Covering a trodden path.....

A path leading into the depths of a darkened
cave...known only to this man who wakes to
the call of the wilderness....

Within the cave.....dark interrupted briefly,
sporadically by candles.....a vein of gold...
Two feet wide and as long as the eye could
see....

Still standing at the window.....the flakes
continuing to fall.....Bows bending slowly to
Mother Earth, paying their respects...

This man....still, quiet, looking into the distance
of a calm and beautiful morn.....A tear falling
from an eye....  A single tear....hovering
waiting to fall....

In the distance.....a stone....carrying the name
“Karelanne”....   A beautiful woman....
in eternal rest.....  As snow continues to fall...
and a man stands before a window....
Alone....

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Barry, this is so very heartbreaking, sweet friend, it made me tear up imagining the man morning over his loved one as I can imagine how it could feel! (big hugggssssss) This is powerfully sensitive, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Barry

You are quite a story teller...painting the scene like an artist and then putting such emotion into it.  Very well done!
