Once your heart was broken, A vagrant prim, dressed black as love without mercy She danced within your tears, for years by lance to lie A wound that cannot heal or deal another try Such cunning and deception A thorn placed deep to tear the lining from a shining morn As lightning guts the dawn, too new to trust, too shy to sigh Once your heart was broken Alas, like glass, in shattered pieces Attacks to desolate and break the spirit, designed to break the man A hard and horrid slice, jagged edges dry, in silence of the days gone by Once your heart was broken Until, to mount the wind A stronger thought, in arms to shield and steady of the soul She came to stand beside the shadows, light and laughter of the rain A deep believe to keep, and share, no more the victim of deny Once your heart was broken The only way to molt the past and grow a larger vessel She brings the drink of love to fill this empty sky |

Well Kathleen this took me in about seven different directions and I'm afraid if I read it again seven more... so I shall save that for tomorrow! |

Battle of Heartbreak Ridge.... That comes to mind, reading this... I think I understand this poem, of a man, torn apart by a vicious woman....eventually having a kind woman come into his life and try to repair what has happened...But...will he accept and trust... You stir the stew well dear lady....OH YES... You certainly do... [This message has been edited by Magnus (11-21-2002 09:31 PM).] |

Kathleen, I had come to the same conclusion as Magnus. But, I cried. This is just so heartbreaking, yet quite hopeful for a full recovery by a special, tender-hearted woman, completely opposite of the first.... I love this! Thanks and warm regards, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
