The dusty cracked soles of my feet are canyon tunnels for your voice. Erosion of indecision is cutting me to the bone, and soon only an ocean will be able to fill the void. Submerge me farther because I’m already drowning. There are no more life vests and yet you continue to make yourself unavailable. The wind is howling through my empty spaces. I’m a storm brewing. There is black lightning behind my eyes, thunder in my gut. Smell my tears a mile away, nail down your defenses, bar me from your haven of assurance. My disquiet is colliding with your safety nets and when hot meets cold we’ll both be sucked into a vortex. You can’t control the weather with carefully thought out escape routes- there is no safety in fear, and barriers of straw sticks and bricks have all been left in shambles. Root yourself to me and I’ll protect you in the eye of my soul- and while the outside world rages on, we will be shielded within each other. "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone |

To be rooted in love, is the only way. Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |
