I am touching the music
as it pulsates in my cradling ears.
There is a precision in each word
the way the voice's lips curve around the sounds
sucking all feeling from them
exhaling them into the air around me
making tears long to trace the stone curves
of a face carved into a frown.
And my hands are sliding all over the air
sort of sleazy in their search
to grasp the notes and swallow hard
in hopes of being intoxicated with some unmatched
and unmanned desire to let go
standing nude in thought
my dancing form wrapped in silken words
sends itself in a flurry of moments
across an uncrowded room full of windows.
I feel like a piece of art
a moving display
hovering longingly over each new verse
being bent and teased
by each strain of desperation
as love song sweetness
touches my soul
makes me love you more
makes me want you right here/there
right now...touching the music with me
quietly now
breathing
wrapped in the silk of our favorite songs
tied by the words
bound by the need for our skin to dance close
fingers entwined,
forehead to forehead,
blinded by the desperation to feel together
and totally loose ourselves
in the aftermath of words.
Cruel lips mouth the echos
of the notes that first stirred us
and then settle into a kiss.

"two hearts will build the foundation for one point of light
a duet done with passion"

This is very sensual, VERY, and it's a poem that causes me to think, pause, because it brings so many thoughts to mind that I want to embrace...this is a cool poem, Jenn.  I love it.

When music speaks, the heart hears, and the body listens.

Thank you.
