Slender Threads, Faith, and Time I thought of you today on the glimmer of a thread backed up by time where pages leaf me to laughter and wisdom and life is balanced I thought of the disarray of life as the pendulum swung back, and forth, how we can go from gleam to dusty fingerprints  and etchings of love can be as fragile as crystal or as brilliant as the faith one is born with or acquires I thought of time spent and times to come where I might hold all or nothing but memories In this hushed perusing of my belief, designed by a larger force, it becomes forged more solid than ever… of how, without knowing, you’ve touched me, in ways that I will be able to return to, through your writing your art your beliefs… and how much I look forward to more moments spent with you no matter how much time we have or don’t have… I thought of you today on the glimmer of a thread backed up by time where pages leaf me to laughter and wisdom and life is balanced because I will see you here and there on a glimmer in time with laughter by wisdom balanced. ~*~ Dedicated to Lyra [This message has been edited by Sunshine (11-16-2002 08:54 PM).] |

Karilea, I think this is one of the most beautiful pieces of poetry that I have ever had the privilege to read. Breathtaking. Yes, I'm sure Lyra will absolutely love it. |

Karilea... You are an absolute sweetheart! I was reading this gorgeous poem, thinking about how talented you are... and how lucky was the person about whom this was written... and then.... Magnus, that was a beautiful comment, thank you so very much for being such a faithful reader... Majnu, when a person, no matter man, or woman, give so much of themselves that you would have to fight yourself NOT to love them just for who they are...then yes, you are right, it is so wonderful to love... Chris, thank you so much for taking a moment to read, and to understand... Denise, coming from one whom I know is a very particular reader, I cannot thank you enough for leaving a comment...thank you... Martie, isn't that what Lyra does to all of us? Makes us shine? Thank you, my dear... Corinne, it is...it is indeed....thank you... Duncan, you don't say how it made you feel, I can only surmise that it hit you as deep as it was for me to pull it from...and I think you understand that...thank you... Enchantress, you, my dear, are never speechless...thank goodness...hugs you... Lyra, the little things that I have in my possession that remind me of people are some of the gifts that I try to share back, especially with those who have made a difference in my life. We have never met, but we have met through poetry...and for me, that goes beyond many lines, and many planes...you know I know you know...hearthugs, and you're welcome...
