The Unnoticed

He sat in the corner
a smile stretched across his face
Arms lay limp on the arms of an old
  worn out sofa chair
Through his lens were telling eyes
seeing what no one seemed to notice
The blue of his soul twinkled
and he looked aged for his years
From his lips came few words with yards
  of space between
Measured words of experience with
more expression than he cared to give
Most took no notice
  of this soft spoken sage
Some knew better and read more from the
substance in between the black and white
than from the sound
  that vibrated from his lips
Only when he placed his pen upon the paper
did I understand from where he came
and only then did I realize what was inside
  He could not be swayed
Lessons weathered from experience
  would only be shared
with those he would choose...

You have no idea how much I can personally
relate to him...  This is awesome,  so
descriptive...makes one feel as though they
are there,  looking into the eyes of one
of so much...

(big hugggsssssss) Sadly some wish not to share themselves unto others, even when we are willing to be friendly and faithful to them, and it takes so much courage to do so! (sigh) My heart goes out to all who keep the feelings lodged inside and hope somehow they can all find peace deep inside, sweet friend, I'm so happy you're back, I've missed you so, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Electra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

A vivid picture you've written.  I almost expect to turn around and see him sitting in the corner.

This is a very good poem.....so well-written and such descriptive words. I, too, almost felt I could turn around and see him in the corner.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Lyra,

Thank you so much for this observation. I'm in such excellent company that erudition is inevitable.
