Night succumbs
      to days embrace
            winds song becomes
                       just a trace

         And in this
             quiet
         I think of you

Lavender blue
      tears from my eyes
             sweet longing are
                  my lonely sighs

        And with these
             tears
          I cry for you

The breeze sweeps
        across my face
              as night succumbs
                    to days embrace

             And in this
                 quiet
               I need you

Yes, in the "quiet" of the night, without the distractions of the day, our thoughts and feelings seem more intensified and effect us on a much deeper level.

I felt the longing and the lonliness of your words. Very vivid writing.

past the threshold
of nighttime,
the dreamlover arrives
again,
longing ending now...
till morning

at least we can dream, cant we?
