My Grandmother is my best friend
But she does not have much longer
On this world

Her breatheing gets worse
As the days go by
Her lungs will on day
Stop working

That day may be soon
But I wish I could say one
Final goodbye
But I live too far away

My Great Aunt Brownie
May be leaving us soon
Her cancer is back
And worse than ever

She is down to 98 pounds
And has no use of one arm
They are gonna have to do
A lung tap on her
So she doesn't have much
Longer on this world either

I wish they didn't live so far away
Up in Pennsylvania and Virginia
It breaks my heart
That I may never see them again
Because they are almost down to
Their one last breathe

Cold hands means a warm heart

Oh, Julie. I'm so sorry that you may not get to see your loved ones before they pass. I hope that something happens where you can go to see them. This is so sad. My heart goes out to you.

*hugz* I wish, as I have many times before, that I could aquire a magic wand from the resident fairy godmother, wave, mutter some gibberish, and fix the world. I can't, but I wish I could anyways.
May life treat you sweeter in days to come, m'dear.

My Great Grandma died when I was 8.

The simple honesty of this poem makes it very moving.

Julie that's terrible. Just cherish the last time you have with her....

Hi Julie,

Something awful not to be able to visit loved ones in person because of distance especially when their days are numbered...but actually we are all here temporarily..that's not much of a consolation
but that's life. My prayers with you and your loved ones

Julie, you are helping not only yourself by writing down your feelings, but you are generating many prayers to help you and your loved ones through these difficult times.

Sending love and prayers to you all,

Whisper those 'I love you' words into the wind, Julie. They will hear and be comforted in that final breath.

Sending you my prayers and wishes. This was a very heartful and open expression of love.
So sorry, bless you and keep in touch with them as much as possible even if it is through other members of the family.
