Over the river and through the woods

0 posted 2002-11-04 04:33 AM

growing out of graves
the vines thick and healthy
rooted to grey
sucking life from the dead
oh what secret pushes upward

and in the curling green
i seek to harvest the sparks
start firestorms in the graveyard

sweeping firelines
headstone to bone
drawing barriers
encircling the lifeless
with a witch’s circle
  bones afraid of black
the empty recoiling

as the embers slake
the demons fed
and sacrificed
for emotional masturbation

the ghosts moan and point
wasted fingers
mindless, numb, guttural clicks
and whines

terrified of what the warmth might grow

i try to shut it all up in my head
and let the gods form under my hands
i burn and ash, creating, shrinking
  giving
i kindle my skin

and build a fire for you

Elizabeth, very strong images here.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

YOU

write in paint
of archaic imagery--

you talk to me in twine
of my own vines of understanding...

you paint the atmosphere of my nightmares...

not sure, m'self, whether to slap you?
or THANK YOU...

YER AN EVIL WOMAN.

LOL? (half hearted laugh)

stunning...but then your conversation always IS...

I  know what lies at the bottom of every soul it is this the fear at the core of your being is what makes you human embrace the darkness inside its what makes you free

Take a good look at my face
Well, don't my smile look out of  place
look a little closer its easy to trace
The tracks of my tears
