With Heart and Soul I could have danced all night, but you weren't there. So I brushed aside the missing, and watched you from afar, escaping to a place that lifted me off the floor and into your arms. I heard the memories of young, kept time with those yet to come, with a smile that felled me into the reflections that filled the vacant space beside me. Laughter, music, a little rock and roll, and I was elevated from Yesterday into Tomorrow, a world of you, a world with view and a wait for that kiss of eyes, to find me there. You are my unplanned trip, that I keep pocketed in "almost there" fulfilling the most basic of needs, integrating two worlds apart moving towards one another to bring about a breath of life to one who has fallen. Thank you all...this may seem sad..but I was at a family gathering in Philadelphia last night with Dinner and Dancing...and I had no partner to dance with..so into my mind I went, to let my thoughts lead. *s Not sad at all..just reminiscing about past, present and future joys. ~smiling~ M |
