~ By Sue ~ It would not surprise me To hear him say He thinks I want him back Since I talk to him each day There is no truth to his thoughts This he will know He gave me the break I needed To just get up and go I got tired of beer cans Being stashed behind the chair Even when I tried to talk to him He did not seem to care His drinking got so bad He never did come home Now it does not matter Because I can live alone Confusing things he says to me One minute he says one thing The next he says something else I do not know what to think The one thing I do know I am glad he set me free Because now I can leave And I can just be me 10-31-02 |

That's the path to go Sue. Being yourself is the only way you should aim for. Keep those strong feelings and don't listen to his peptalk, because it would be the same all over again.
