Why? it’s so kinda strange so much of the usual accomplished this morning ahead of schedule ahead of rushing yet here I sit seeking some poesy to place on the page instead of putting myself together for the day the rest of the way instead of hitting the threshold early I sit bathing in the moments to write to seek some sort of outlet for this time where’s my common sense why don’t I rise get ready early for a change put all the quacks in line cross my eyes and dot my tees then find my supine moments to unravel this caffeine of morning’s energy find? why? do I have some intrigue with hurry, scurry? is it not the beginning of day unless I’m rushing the gauntlet with harried hands and feet? ©October 30, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. Poesy, prosody, either acceptable terms for poetic works, verse etc. Modern life's a damn clock and it's important for most here to emote and find the "time" to do so or peruse and find kindred spirits in the poesy of others. Enjoyed |
