"Respect Him ( Doing The Right Thing )" (11/12/02) © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 Raising his kids on his own, Being the french maid at home. Always turn on the night light, Remembers to kiss them goodnight. He is the cat in the sack, The mother they never had. He would give is life for them, Promise to stay their best friend... Refrain In their eyes he's strong Though private he's a tear jerker, But still he keeps on As a proud construction worker. Respect him doing the right thing. He is a true man And I respect his dicision, And I am a fan Concittering his possition. Respect him doing the right thing. Verse 2 Though he's working nine to five, There's always time for a dive. To children quality time, Leaving his worries behind. Takes them all sort of places, And he feels blessed with graces. Having mem'ries from birthdays, They grow up so fast these days... Refrain Bridge Their mother died giving birth Aches all the time everyday, Tells her each night about them Praises is all he can say. Visit her grave each sunday And he tells them about her, But never cries at mom's place Even though it really hurts. He could not be more proud, Of the work he has done. Within the walls of this house, Cause his kids are his number one... Refrain |
