"Because Of Me" © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved (27/11/02) An honset tear's bleeding from my eye Silently wandering down my face, Dying it's crawling over my lip Leaving a trail I cannot erase. My heart's black eyes face the naked truth I have been evicted from your place, My dream of a wonderland is lost Now I'm singing my songs in outer space. Confused with dispair I run away Following the old road to nowhere, I'm beaten liveless by tomorrow Gasping for my last breath of air... And it's all because of me, Everything's because of me... Under the haze of a broken heart The illusion of my fingertips, Gently brushes your silky soft skin Like the tail lights of our relationship. The ghost of our past is haunting me Everytime I close my eyes at night, I'm soaking my pillow and my bed Covered by the shadows of my sigh. Painted with the color of nothing I put my life in the hands of faith, Trying to understand loneliness While a voice's whispering it's too late... And it's all because of me, Everything's because of me... Pockets full of nothing besides my hands, Got my walls filled with empty picture frames. Got a memory filled with guilty stands, Sunny days all full of rainy days stains... And it's all because of me, Everything's because of me... |
