"Before Tonight" (17/11/2) © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 Sometimes a face amurse in the shadow In the corner of my room, All while four walls whisper unspoken words In the twillight of a blue moon. A memorebillia of my childhood Is gathering in my mind, It fills me up with old photos and dreams I haven't been able to find. Before tonight. Before tonight. Build 1 Before tonight I used to kick myself, For taking everything for granted. Just watching myself slip into the gab of hell, But I caught the lost time red handed. Chorus I didn't see it before tonight. Didn't believe it before tonight. Before tonight.... Verse 2 But now I realize the importants Of things I had in my life, And just how good it feels to look back on The worlds most beautiful sunrise. How you could make me smile and laugh forever And you bought me my first bike, Taught me how to ride it in the back yead Used to stand up and fight my fights. Miss you tonight. Miss you tonight. Build 2 Before tonight I used to kick myself, For not being able to fight your fight. Just watching you slip into the gab of hell, But now I know you're in me all the time. Chorus(2x) I didn't see it before tonight. Didn't believe it before tonight. Before tonight.... |
