not everyone believes, I know that...I think I might be in the minority 'cause ever since this night, I've been able to sence GrandDad, and even, talk to him... Sitting on the floor Talking to some friends One of who has quite a talent Like me, he senses spirits But he can talk to them Suddenly, deep in conversation ~ He’s telling me things I never knew About my Grandfather ~ Who died when I was two days old He’s telling me that GrandDad Is watching over me – keeping up with me Something I’d always suspected But those little scares at night I didn’t know it was GrandDad Just playing jokes on me He’s with me, wherever I go Watching over – leading the way One last thing GrandDad told me Just before he left ~ He would be there when I had my first child But would only be around another year or so . . . Background info (More about that night): My Grandfather did die when I was two days old, but when I was talking to him thru an old friend of mine, he told me that he'd tried to hold on for one more day. Around that point, I'd started crying. Aaron had, in fact, told me things that I'd never known, stuff I had to go back and ask my Mom about. She ended up being truely shocked with some of the things that Aaron had told me. "He would be there when I had my first child But would only be around another year or so . . ." This right here, tells me that GrandDad was trying to tell me that someone special was going to come into my life, and rather soon. ok...I'm done rambling... Have you ever heard that "No shirt, No shoes" rule? My question is...Why doesn't that rule include pants? [This message has been edited by Tamma (10-24-2002 03:39 PM).] |

I liked the idea of this. It was a pretty good poem. As far as talking to your Granddad....I don't know. But good luck with that. This post has been brought to you by the 'Totally Awesome Society of Puerto Rican Egotistical Sexy Men'. |

I'm with Javier... I tend to be skeptical of the "beyond the grave" stuff, so I don't know... Still... the idea is nice, and if it gives you comfort then I have no right to bash it. I like the title of the poem, by the way... Nicely done. Parasite Learn to place poetry before people |

Tamma~ Sorry I'm a little late getting to this one. This is a beautifully written and heartfelt piece. The whole thought of it is very comforting, and I couldn't help but smile. Thanks for sharing this, Tamma, and thanks for participating in the challenge. ~Vicky P.S. Don't forget to check out Teen Challenge #2! "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |
