this long black hair
used to lie upon your pillow
as the sun rose on faces
smiling with love
even thru sleep
everlasting, forever...

now it falls down the drain
as i shower to get ready
not to see you
to spend the night
(friday... our night)
lying on my floor of
broken roses
and shattered heart

with these strings tying me to you
and i can't/don't want to
cut them
cause i couldn't cope with the bleeding

thru my pillow
tears
clouded dreams of yesterday
last week, last year
as we held hands
an walked on the beach
marvelling at the one star that had been in the
sky for two weeks
i see how
after two years
of loving you and needing you
i really can do without

despite the pain of seeing you
standing there before God
(who, by the way, knows you cut my heart out and
threw it in my face)
singing your tiny little heart out

i know that tomorrow will be another day
for me not to listen to our songs
for me to dress up
in your favourite Bee clothes
and wander thru town
watching the crowds
hoping to bump into you
just so i can smile and wave
just to let you know
i can play at being allright.

Each letter written wastes your hand young man, come lead me to your bed...

I don't understand. Must be a "you have to have been there" sort of thing. Love, ah, it's beauty and its scarring ugliness. Anyway, for this one, i can't compliment the content because i don't get it, but the word choice is honestly amazing. I salute you.
