I sit here shaking.. Engulfed in my music while, Listening to the voices upstairs, Shouting at each other.. "I will not get in it...I will not get in it" I repeat to myself over and over. Several loud thumps echo down to me, Then silence. What has happened? My curiosity got the best of me, I peeked around the corner, I see you both standing there, Shaking, breathless, Staring at each other, Faces red from the struggle, Silent, hot tears streaming freely. I speak not a word, Just slowly ease back into my chair, And sat there....hoping it was over. Then once again...The shouting starts back up. Looks like you regained your breath. The entire argument was pointless, Instigated by a simple bad mood. Ten more minutes of yelling, And the silence returns once more. Then I hear a high pitched laugh, Confused, I look one more time, And there you both are - Like nothing happened.
