Little girl with night time hair Is watching for Prince Charming Thru muddy brown eyes Lying on a bed of broken heart and paper roses, Of torn up newspaper and dust This little girl who could stand to eat a sandwich This little girl Who likes to walk thru the stars And swim in the moon Who leaves her hair wet After the shower And who wears fluffy jimmies Even in the summer… Prince Charming must be tall enough to pull blossom From the highest tress to decorate my hair To whisk her away To magic her tears to petals And to draw her face in the sand And have a heart big enough to wrap round my Angel waist Ability to paint beautiful pictures Worthy of love With a few simple words And eyes dark enough To confuse sunrise and set Some one on fire, for all the right reasons… Apply in poetry to… Each letter written wastes your hand young man, come lead me to your bed... |

This was a great poem! I've never read anything quite like it before...and I think that's why I like it so much. Yep, it's going in my library! ~Jess ![]() "At the touch of love, everything becomes a poem." -Plato |

Yes. I love this. "on fire for all the right reasons." your words flew perfectly and gentley along the page.(screen) Comforting, but icy. ![]() |

Im at a loss for words with this poem. I don't quite know how to tell you how much it meant. It was very touching, and smooth, though sad. I really love this one! Excellent job, thank you for sharing. WinterWren |
