She's tyring so hard not to cry
as they're leaving this place behind
so many memories dwell here
of days gone by.

Childhood dreams were forged here
important lessons learned
and so many things will be left behind
in this place to which they can never return.

Another door is closed
another barrier put up in her life
more happiness drains out
and more tears will eventually fall.

This is another love she can't have
one that was held so close to her heart
she's denied the right to visit memories and dreams,
to return to them and relive them anytime she wants.

She can't go back to her secret places
or to the ones she shared
with friends long gone
who she kept alive and near only through these places.

As she pulls pictures off the walls
and the house becomes more empty, of furniture and life
a stab goes through her heart
as the realization really sinks in

That the place in which she grew up, laughed, and loved in
is no longer hers to call home.
And so many things will be left behind,
in this place to which they can never return.

oh...holding back the tears, this hit so close to home its scary. I'm moving in a month and I am already missing everything about my house and the people even though I haven't even left yet...that aside very well done, you always do such a fantastic job at expressing your feelings and this one was no different. The diction here was excellent and the imagery was amazing all around two thumbs up

Thank you for the reply, I always love to see what you have to say.
Moving IS so hard, Im sorry you have to go through it too. *hugs*
I hope the pain of it eases for you soon, and you create more happy memories at your new home.

OMG! This was ABSOLUTELY wonderful! To think of the past and how it's not gonna be here again is well, depressing. GREAT WORK! ~Jess
