She smiles for now but when she makes it home her world crumbles somehow and she's all alone I try to ease the pain but she pushes me away leaving my efforts in vain nothing I can do or say She's moving as if lined with lead she tells me she's feeling for dead teetering like she can barely stand it seems life has dealt her a rough hand The pressures of life won't relent so she tilts her head back gracefully she smiles as she makes her descent and the world fades to black slowly she falls to the ground her thud echoes as the room slows all eyes dart, confused, no one makes a sound we all know the end but its not like the shows |
